I have been arguing on and off with someone for a long while now on DA.
In May, 2011, I was looking to commission someone to make me a figurine/statue of Ashton Anchors. A user approached me saying they could do it, and asked for a down payment of $75. Which I did immediately.
They then never got back to me. I left messages on their wall, and kept sending them notes.
Finally in October 2011, they replied to me. They said they didn’t have time for the commission so they’d have to cancel it. I asked for a refund, and they sent me $20 since that was all they had in their paypal account.
Four months later, and I am still waiting for that $55. I sent them a payment request on paypal. I’m going to give them until the end of March to give me my money back, or I will report them for fraud on paypal.
The lesson here, kids.. if someone tries to screw you out of YOUR money on deviantart, fight back. Don’t just sit back and think of it as a loss. It’s your money. If they don’t provide the service you paid them for, then they owe you your money.
